BOS needs to hold MCHC accountable for MCHC to refer/assess, with documentation, vulnerable elderly clients needing dementia and/or decision-making capacity screenings BEFORE looking at their housing options. Exploring housing for very vulnerable elderly clients, who have decision-making issues, seems ridiculous without assessment. MCHC clients with dementia-related issues being assessed and addressed only makes more resources available, and sets them up for long-term safety and success.
