Any review of EDFC organization should be conducted without bias. However there appears to be bias and an effort to skew the results against EDFC in the approach itself. Why? When in the last 9 months EDFC has created jobs and loaned businesses over +$1,000,000. Why spend valuable time and $ on this? One job created for $32k beats all other programs and that is the counties contribution. EDFC is helping our local economy. Why spend $23k to ask a question that shouldn't cost $23k to answer?

Poor leadership and bad decisions consistently cause pain and suffering in the world! It is necessary to support a nonlethal wildlife management program! Further brutality to animals degrades society as a whole. I find it appalling that legislative administrators have been told trillions of times cruelty to animals is wrong, and yet they still can not figure out how to make a proper decision beyond that!

As an EDFC board member, I am following this issue closely. This agenda item is misleading in that EDFC has been trying for weeks to get a response from the county to clarify whether EDFC can preserve its clients' confidentiality, and also whether the assessor's requests are consistent with the scope approved by the BOS. As a taxpayer, I am disturbed that the BOS approved a $23,625 contract to assess a $32,000/year contribution to an org that brings millions AND jobs. Please hold or dismiss.

As a long-time EDFC Board member, I believe EDFC is doing very valuable work providing loans and other support to businesses in Mendocino County, generating jobs and revenue far exceeding the County's small contributions. EDFC has also undertaken other economic development initiatives and wishes to continue such collaborative efforts, with our new leadership, I request that the County put this item on hold to allow EDFC to evaluate and define its role going forward.
