Agenda Item
5j) Discussion and Possible Action Including Approval to Allocate $3,700,000 in Measure B Facility Funds Toward the Construction of a Crisis Residential Treatment Facility on Orchard Avenue in Ukiah as Recommended by the Mental Health Citizen's Oversight Committee, Which Includes Contracting with AECOM to Provide Construction Management Services from the Pre-Construction Phase Through Completion

I fully support this agenda item. This type of treatment center is needed in the County and would help to ease the burden on police, hospitals, and the courts. Those experiencing a mental health crisis deserve a safe space to go to help them get back on their feet and not have to experience it on the street, in jail, or worse. We need the resources to treat these people with the dignity and respect they deserve during such a difficult time. This is exactly what Measure B is here to provide.
