I am concerned about the lack of transparency of the county due to the unchecked power of retroactivating a contract for a position that is supposed to serve in the public safety sector, such as item 5h on tomorrow’s BOS agenda. The contract renewal that is not only being proposed, but also retroactivated shows not only lack of transparency and integrity, but also disregard for our local government’s checks and balances.
