Regarding Item 4z on the consent agenda
I have a few comments from to share from employees who are not able to attend because they are servicing customers today. These comments were made after they were informed that Mendocino Board of Supervisors will be voting on the RFP awardee.
"What is going to happen to my PTO and retirement? I've been with WM for 20 years." - Driver
"Will my wage be the same with annual cost of living increases? I have a mortgage to pay." - Driver
"Why? I don't understand. What did we do wrong or what could we do better?" - Technician
"If I want to stay with WM then I need to move." - Admin
WM brings so much more to the table than what was requested in the RFP. Your decision to select a service provider is much more. WM is a good employer that puts people first. Thank you.
