While we disagree with the recent Flow Kana op-ed inciting a tax revolt that made national news (& we question the integrity of such a threat when it comes to the safety of small farms that work them as a distributor, who will ultimately be responsible for said tax). We do see a dire need for County & State tax reforms. It's hard to be double, triple, in some cases even quadruple taxed on a plant we use for medicine. San Francisco suspended all cannabis business taxes last week. We should be considering the same. Thank you for bringing this item to the Board for discussion & for standing up to the State on behalf of the local cannabis industry. These are shifting seas & the Mendocino Cannabis Alliance has put forth some great ideas. MCA is a strategic partner for the County when it comes to cannabis, with the best interests of the wider community at the heart of their mission.
