4g) Discussion and Possible Action Including Presentation of the Draft 2023 Legislative Platform; and Referral of the 2023 Legislative Platform to the General Government Standing Committee Pursuant to the Board of Supervisors Rules of Procedure

Honorable Supervisors,
On December 12, 2022 MCA provided the attached recommendations to the GGC for addition to the County’s Legislative Platform for 2023. We are happy to report that after robust discussion all of the recommendations except #5 were approved by the GGC and directed to be added to the platform. However, in reviewing the materials for this agenda item, the approved recommendations below have not yet been added. Additionally, the first item carried over from the 2022 Platform requesting the elimination of the State Cultivation tax can be removed for the 2023 Platform, as that was thankfully accomplished last year, but all other recommendations should remain as they are still needed.
We request that our recommendations be approved by the Board and added to the County Legislative Platform for 2023.
