As the County Administration and the Board of Supervisors work to prepare the 2023-2024 budget, it’s imperative to staff up and budget for an increase cost of living for current County employees. We need to have a livable wage. Employees need to see that the Board supports them and is committed to providing the funds to keep up with inflation. It’s also important that any increases not be erased by increased costs in health benefits. Our County will thrive if we make the necessary investments and take the steps to hang on to our experienced and talented staff.
