Please provide the public with a factual and detailed statement about the booking and pending arraignment of Auditor/Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector Chamise Cubbison for alleged felony misappropriation of public funds. The 2-page felony is pitiful.
It's confounding that the criminal case against former UPD Chief Noble Weidelich has been shrouded in secrecy for nearly 1.5 years with no end in sight and yet now we have this alleged case against Ms. Cubbison. Actually it terrifies me that an elected DA is allowed to terrorize women who challenge him yet he will protect and shield law enforcement officers accused of criminal wrongdoing and sexual assault. When will the DA acknowledge that case?
I have never met Ms. Cubbison or DA Eyster - I don't have any loyalties to either one - and I can say the way this BOS and DA target her for their own shortcomings is shameful and an embarrassment to our county. Do better.
