    Climate Action Mendocino is relieved to see the item referring to a contract with Ameresco under GSA Energy Conservation on the agenda. Finally the County can begin to review and attend to energy saving measures at all County buildings. It's heartening to see this statement in the budget review.:"GSA intends to develop new projects with energy saving measures that can be shown to result in energy savings that exceed the cost of the improvements." The County can certainly benefit from the savings that the improvements will bring, but the County will also be a model for businesses and residents in the County as the County's energy savings get publicized.
    The County Fleet contract with Enterprise Leasing has been disappointing. The hope has been that Enterprise Leasing would provide the County with more hybrids at first and move toward zero emission vehicles much sooner than is the case. Any efforts to expedite the leasing of zero emission vehicles cannot come too soon.
