This cannabis tax is contributing to the failure of the cannabis industry in Mendocino county, No other industry is taxed before they even make money. If you taxed vineyards like this they would all leave mendocino county.
Every dollar you take in cannabis taxes is less money circulating through the local economy.
The cannabis tax should be reduced by 100 percent, I understand the county finances are In tough shape but continuing to squeeze the cannabis industry out of business is very short sited.

I strongly support the idea of continuing the existing 50% reduction in minimum tax that comes along with the percentage.

Taxes on sales of goods are more just.

I also support exploring all possible efficiencies in process and administration to reduce costs so that less taxes are needed for opperarions.

I support the ordinance amendment to reduce the business tax for years 2025 and 2026. I would like to see an extension of the 50% reduction given the continued financial challenges of operating a cannabis cultivation business, but appreciate the move to allow for incremental adjustments. Thank you.

Thank you for your continued support of the licensed farms.

It will be more fair when the taxes reflect actual sales.

But we appreciate any tax relief.

Thank you, Laura & Marty Clein, Martyjuana
