Dear BOS, in these challenging times, you have a chance to do the right thing for our community and our planet. (As I type this, I hear fire planes landing at the airport.) Since you already adopted Net Zero Carbon Reduction Resolution, please go with Option one or two and take steps in that direction. thank you! Judy lLuria, Ukiah

With great relief I see that the County is finally considering moving forward on the Net Zero Carbon Reduction Resolution and will hopefully make a decision to use the funds for reducing the County's energy expenditures - and carbon emissions. Climate Action Mendocino would be pleased to see either Option adopted, though Option 1 certainly offers the best alternative for saving money over 25 years. Though, given the County's budget constraints we acknowledge the difficulty of your decision and understand that Option 1 requires the County to pay significant funds each year to meet the obligations of that Option . Nevertheless, deciding on either option moves the County's energy expenditures in the right direction.
