For the same reasons I urged approval of the 45 day moratorium on data centers, I urge all five supervisors to support this two year urgency resolution. We know little about the environmental risks of operating data centers in rural areas. We applaud the County’s courage to stand up to this industry and say we prefer to learn more about how data centers operate in other jurisdictions and the environmental impacts before opening the County up to any development of this type. Thank you.

Thank you! What an excellent solution to the quandary of Data Centers. This ordinance allows some time to study the issue, hopefully enough, but also the flexibility to change the timing and act accordingly as more information becomes available. Your action in putting the ordinance up for a vote to protect our County's residents and make informed decisions is laudable.
