I’ve repeatedly raised two issues with the County, and the County has shown no meaningful effort to resolve either one.

First, I understand that County Counsel’s notes of legal advice to the supervisors may be privileged. My request goes beyond those notes. I want to know what the ad hoc committee and the Board relied on when they established the 3-megawatt exemption in the data center moratorium. Did they use County staff analysis, consult an outside expert or utility, or rely on published research? I asked for the records behind that decision in my October 27 email, and I’m still waiting for a response. Search Planning and Building Services and the records of both ad hoc supervisors. Release the responsive nonexempt records and any portions that can be disclosed separately. If the County is withholding records, identify what is being withheld and the exemption that applies. If the search found no records, say so in writing.

Second, I’ve repeatedly reported that the standard Granicus eComment sign-in fails. It still fails, and I’ve seen no progress toward a fix. Suggesting Xfinity is to blame without addressing the test results I provided is an unacceptable deflection. Referring me to email leaves the sign-in problem unresolved. The County pays for this service. Escalate the issue with Granicus, restore a working sign-in that residents can use without Facebook, and give the public a date for a status update.
